Coltan, short for columbite-tantalite, is a valuable mineral ore that contains two main components: columbite and tantalite. These minerals are found in many parts of the world, with significant deposits in Central Africa, particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which is one of the world’s largest producers of coltan.
